Network switch updatesPlanned Maintenance

Description

Starting at 7:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2025, UIT will update the configuration on network switches in all University of Utah buildings. The updates are necessary to ensure that the university’s network continues to operate in a stable and manageable way. Due to the large number of switches, UIT will update several buildings each day, Monday through Thursday, through January 2026. A schedule and list of impacted buildings is available in Box (login required): https://uofu.box.com/s/4lkrr6bc29pzfg3uubkcye23mct5xj4s After the update, non-UIT switches linked to the university network may be unable to connect to the network. UIT will conduct scheduled web server maintenance on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Maintenance notes: Schedule: First Wednesday of each month from 5:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.; second Wednesday of each month from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. During any given maintenance window your site may be unavailable for part of the time period, depending on needed patches. Typically, downtime is a few seconds to a few minutes. If your site's server undergoes maintenance on the first Wednesday of the month, it’s unlikely that it will undergo maintenance on the second Wednesday of the month. If it’s not maintained the first Wednesday, it will likely undergo maintenance the second Wednesday. When your site's server is undergoing maintenance, site admins will not be able to update or access the site and end users will not be able to view/interact with the site. UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group)

Description

MyTime (UKG Pro Workforce Management) will undergo planned maintenance on Friday-Saturday, November 14-15, 2025, from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. MyTime servers and applications will be unavailable for part or all of the maintenance period. Time clocks will still record punches, which will be transmitted to MyTime once server connections are reestablished. Also, time clocks will ask users fewer questions than normal. Scheduled processes, such as user scheduled reports, may need to be completed manually after the maintenance period. U hospitals and clinics that depend on MyTime or Andgo for patient care should prepare downtime procedures for the duration of the maintenance period.
