Starting at 7:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2025, UIT will update the configuration on network switches in all University of Utah buildings. The updates are necessary to ensure that the university’s network continues to operate in a stable and manageable way. Due to the large number of switches, UIT will update several buildings each day, Monday through Thursday, through January 2026. A schedule and list of impacted buildings is available in Box (login required): https://uofu.box.com/s/4lkrr6bc29pzfg3uubkcye23mct5xj4s After the update, non-UIT switches linked to the university network may be unable to connect to the network. Description

UIT will upgrade Synergy SKY to the latest software and perform database maintenance on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. During this maintenance window, Synergy SKY will be unavailable for scheduling or hosting meetings. No action is required. Synergy SKY will update and automatically restart after the maintenance is complete. To report system issues, open a “high” urgency ticket by calling the UIT Help Desk at 801-581-4000 or ITS Help Desk at 801-587-6000.
